5 Tips to Get The Most Out of Open Day

Torrens Open Day | Torrens University

Open Day is tomorrow and we’re looking forward to meeting all of you! Here are some tips to get the most out of the day:

1. Familiarise yourself with the program

If you haven’t already, download the Open Day program so you know where to be at what time. Simply click the faculty you want below and click on your city to get the program:

2. Take advantage of info sessions and workshops

There are going to be tons of info sessions and workshops going on – jump in and experience them! This will really help you get a feel for our school and what it would be like to study with us.

3. Think about what you want to ask

There are going to be plenty of students, course & career advisors and lecturers there all day so don’t be afraid to ask questions. If you already know what course you want to study then you may want to ask about coursework, placements, the chance to study abroad, scholarships, assessments, etc. Make sure you have a list of everything you want to get answered and take it with you so you are prepared.

4. Check out the nearby area

Where you study can make a world of difference. Make sure you not only wander around the campus itself, but also explore the nearby areas for cool coffee shops or bars.

5. Socialise and network

There will be students, alumni, teachers and people just like you at Open Day so don’t be afraid to strike up a conversation with the person beside you – they may just be your future classmate!
