Plastic Free July

Join us for plastic free July | Torrens University

At Torrens University, our students are a part of Laureate International Universities – the largest network of Universities in the world.

We believe in the power of education to transform lives and remain committed to making a positive impact in our community. We are Here for Good, continuously striving to improve lives of others and make our world a better place.

We are also a B Corp. This means we use the power of our business to create a positive impact in the world. In order to be certified, we have undertaken a rigorous assessment that explored our company’s governance, transparency, environmental and social impact.

B Corp is to business what Fair Trade certification is to coffee.

As a part of our commitment to making a positive change in the world, we challenge you to participate in a plastic-free July. You can join for a day, a week, or for the entire month. The staff here at Torrens are striving to do our best to reduce our consumption of plastic. Join the movement with us!

Tips on how to live a plastic-free life

  1. Carry a reusable water bottle/coffee cup
  2. Carry a reusable shopping bag
  3. Say no to plastic straws
  4. Buy glass jars over plastic bottles.
  5. Shop at local farmers markets
  6. Pick up litter especially near beaches, waterways and shorelines

Together we can make a world of difference.

Be the change
