What a moment of glory and celebration!
For each of the 430 proud new graduates who stepped on stage at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday 2 August 2019, years of study had finally paid off.
It was just as exciting to those who came to bear witness to the momentous occasion. The Centre was filled with parents, children, partners, extended family, friends, their academic staff and supporters from Think Education and Torrens University Australia.
Two graduation ceremonies were held. One was for the Faculties of Health and Education. The second was for Business, Hospitality and Design Students.
Among the special moments were speeches delivered by graduates Jodi Allen (Bachelor of Health Science) and Samantha Ansell (Bachelor of Communication Design) to rousing applause. Each told their stories of their journeys, experiences and the people who have been alongside them throughout. Our Indigenous students received guidance from Rochelle Kudawoo with specially designed graduation stoles. The National Anthem was beautifully sung by Brisbane singer Diana Holt.
Then, of course, there were rounds of heartfelt cheers when Excellence Award and Here for Good Award winners were welcomed to stage.
We wish all our graduates the very best for your bright and successful years ahead!
