Over the trimester break I got the opportunity to visit the Billy Blue campus on Little Collins street in Melbourne. The campus there was beautiful and everyone was extremely friendly and happy to show me around.
I got the chance to have a campus tour, meet with the executive dean, Faculty of Design, Helmut Lueckenhausen and discuss the network and connections between Torrens University Australia and Billy Blue. I also got the chance to meet with Rebecca Wickens and discuss the Marketing side, which I found to be extremely interesting. I loved getting to see the campus and also see the some of the work which has been completed by students from the broad range of design degrees offered there.
Both Billy Blue and Torrens are passionate about getting their graduates job ready and they attempt to give their students as much industry experience as possible. It was great hearing about the success their students have been able to accomplish through their hard work and determination.
During my trip I also got the chance to see some of the amazing sights the beautiful city of Melbourne has to offer. I spent my free days visiting Hosier Lane, the National Gallery of Victoria, Federation Square and who could possibly forget shopping at the south wharf DFO. I loved being surrounded by the hustle and bustle which is found in the heart of the city.
I am loving this journey I am on and all the amazing opportunities Torrens University has allowed me to experience and for the new connections I have been able to make around Australia.
Until next time!
