Torrens University welcomes three new AFLPA partnership ambassadors

As part of our partnership with the AFL Players’ Association (AFLPA), we are delighted to welcome players Leah Kaslar, Reilly O’Brien and Alex Neal Bullen as our new partnership ambassadors.

This energetic group of individuals bring passion and commitment to their roles as partnership ambassadors. As partnership ambassadors, their primary role will be to represent Torrens University in discussing and promoting the importance of education as an elite athlete and why it’s essential to set oneself up for life after football.

We are proud to have these passionate and talented student-athletes represent us. We look forward to seeing them inspire other athletes to take advantage of the opportunities available to them at Torrens University.

Leah Kaslar plays for the AFLW Golf Coast Suns. Leah is not only an AFLW player, she also works as an environmental scientist and is an AFLPA board member. Leah will commence the Master of Business Administration (MBA), which will enable her to certify her current industry experience.

Reilly O’Brien recently completed a Bachelor of Medical Science and has chosen to continue studying by enrolling in a dual MBA and Master of Public Health. He felt this course was relevant to his current lifestyle and the world as we face the coronavirus pandemic, and also allows him to follow his passion within the medical industry.

Alex Neal Bullen has started his Bachelor of Business Sports Management, and wants to ensure that he has prepared for life after football. Alex is passionate about educating the community and removing the stigma around people living with disabilities.

More about the Torrens University and AFLPA Partnership

The partnership between Torrens University and AFLPA started in November 2020. As the preferred education provider for AFLPA, Torrens University offers tertiary education programs to all AFLPA members, players, staff and corporate partners. Since the commencement of the partnership, we have seen growth in the number of AFLPA members enrolling into courses with Torrens University. This is a testament to our flexible and diverse study options and our commitment to supporting athletes to thrive both on the field and in the classroom.
