About this campus
Our Leura campus is custom designed for our world-class Hospitality program. The residential campus functions as a simulated hotel, giving you practical experience in every aspect of hotel management, including restaurant service, housekeeping and front-desk duties.
As an undergraduate enrolled in a bachelor program at the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS), you'll live and study at our Leura campus for your first trimester before moving to Sydney for the remainder of your studies. Then, you are ready for your industry placement, which are typically paid opportunities.
While you study, you’ll have access to extensive recreational facilities, as well as the beautiful surrounds of the Blue Mountains.

Do they have to stay on campusYes. All Diploma and Bachelor students in Hotel Management are required to stay on campus at Leura for the duration of their first 12-week trimester, living on-site in the accommodation blocks. Once that trimester is complete, students move to our Surry Hills campus, where they are responsible for finding their own accommodation.

Students can travel home on the weekendsYes. Students are welcome to travel home on weekends or make other personal plans, provided they meet their academic requirements and any required campus commitments.

A suburb of the Blue Mountains, Leura is a two-hour train from Sydney. Trains run hourly between Central Station and the Blue Mountains. If driving from Sydney, take the M4/Great Western Highway and you’ll arrive at Leura in approximately 1.5–2 hours.
