Undergraduate students undertaking bachelor programs at the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS) study here and live on campus before moving on to third-year Event and Hospitality Management courses in Sydney. Our Leura campus functions as a simulated hotel, so you will be tasked with restaurant service, housekeeping and front-desk duties. The campus holds an English Language Centre for general or academic studies.

A suburb of the Blue Mountains, Leura is a two-hour train from Sydney. Trains run hourly between Central Station and the Blue Mountains. If driving from Sydney, take the M4/Great Western Highway and you’ll arrive at Leura in approximately 1.5–2 hours.

Gregory is a highly experienced executive, leader, consultant and academic. Greg has held a number of senior executive positions in the public and private sectors, including Senior Executive at the Queensland Department of Education and CEO of a licensed club. Greg has a doctorate in leadership development and has completed post-graduate qualifications in economics and learning and development.

Associate Dean, Hospitality


Teaching for 15 years, Simon is an academic leader and researcher with two decades’ worth of experience in tourism. His areas of interest include business, marketing, strategic management, social/environmental justice and sustainable tourism. Simon has been an active researcher and social advocate in Cambodia since 2002 and is currently the Chief Academic at Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School at Torrens University Australia.
