Graduation is a celebration of you. It's a time to acknowledge your commitment and achievements alongside your peers and academics, before taking that exciting leap towards the future.

Torrens University Australia hosts multiple graduation ceremonies throughout the year across multiple cities, because every student should have the chance to raise a toast to their special day at the location of your convenience.

Your graduation ceremony

Here you can find important information on your graduation ceremony.

You have successfully completed your studies and have been approved as a Graduand - congratulations! You'll be invited to attend the ceremony in your nearest state. For instance, if your mailing address state is NSW, you will be invited to the Sydney Graduation Ceremony. Please see the table below for your reference:

The exact time schedule for the day will be sent after the RSVPs have closed. However, the usual routine for the day is: 

Registration: Check-in for graduating students. Only graduating students need to be present at the registration stage. 

Gowning: After you have registered yourself, you will then proceed to get fitted for your academic regalia.

Cloakroom: All graduating students are required to leave any belongings with friends, family or in the cloakroom. To prevent accidents while students walk up to the stage, only mobile phones are allowed to be held during the ceremony. 

Rehearsal: After registration closed, all students are required to go to the main room where important information about the ceremony will be provided. No guests are allowed in the main room at this time. 

Guest Entry: After rehearsal has finished all guest are allowed to enter the main room and take their seats. There are no allocated seats, however, if your guests include children, assistance dogs, or guests in wheelchairs or special access requirements, please let one of our friendly team know so they can help them with priority entry. 

Ceremony: The ceremony will take about 2 hours. Out of respect to your fellow graduating students, we ask that all attendees please stay in the main room until the end of the ceremony. 

Light refreshments and Photography: After the ceremony, light refreshments will be provided to graduates and their guests. 

A Professional Photographer will be available on the day and will take a photo of the Graduate receiving their degree and be available for further photos before and after the ceremony. If you want to take pictures outside the venue, you will need to return your academic regalia first. 

Where do I purchase my Graduation’s professional photos? 

One week after the ceremony, all graduation ceremony professional pictures will be available. 

An email with the link to the provider of the professional pictures will be sent to your email address where you received the graduation invitation. You will be able to purchase your pictures using that link.
