Bila Empower is a new non-profit start-up that offers educational and holistic healing services serving indigenous communities and related stakeholders.

Learn Grow Become believes that everyone has amazing potential. They work with students - particularly those from disadvantaged cohorts, who can fail to realise their dreams in higher education.

Red Nose is Australia’s leading authority on safe sleep and safer pregnancy advice, and bereavement support for anyone affected by the loss of a pregnancy, stillbirth, the death of a baby or child.

3. Event Management

The Catalyst Foundation’s Women45 Collaborative supports unemployed, self-employed women and those working in jobs and business to network, upskill and learn about business development, leadership, employment and economic enterprise.

Musculoskeletal Australia (MSK) is here to support people whose lives are impacted by muscle, bone and joint conditions and improve their quality of life.

Kidsafe Victoria is an independent, not for profit organisation dedicated to the prevention of unintentional death and injury to children through education, advocacy and research.

Part of our service offering involves the development of websites for a number of clients, providing clarity as to their purpose and offering.

Rate My Clinic was established to provide Allied Health Clinic owners with an easy-to-understand assessment of their business that contains recommendations for improvement.

7. Accountant & Financial Services

MYOB is a leading provider of business management software. Torrens has embedded MYOB within its curriculum. Students get to apply their knowledge through the Hub.

  • Project Description: The Hub in conjunction with MYOB has devised an audit instrument to assist not for profit enterprises to optimise their use of MYOB.

8. Project & Agile Management

The LCA is the largest Protestant church in the world, with over 70 million members.

  • Project Description: Development of the ‘cookbook’ for the National Office’s Project Management Office. Subsequent trialling of cookbook across a diversity of complex to straight forward projects.

9. Engineering Management

City of Mitcham, a local government authority, has a strong focus on environmental sustainability. They have received national accolades for their solar and energy efficiency endeavours. They are now collaborating with Torrens Social Enterprise Hub focused on enhancing waste management practices to reduce landfill.

  • Project Description: Analysis of the current waste management landscape and identification of innovative practices across the globe that could help council tackle waste challenges and reduce landfill.

The Torrens Hub is supporting Bedford’s $50M investment in an advanced manufacturing facility which will support several social enterprise ventures.

  • Project Description: Market Research into the local consumer for the proposed cafe / tap house. Research into packaging options that reduce waste and optimise use of recycled materials.

10. Research, Strategy Program Design, and Evaluation

Wissen GROUP’s MedAuth App is being developed in response counterfeit medicines that pose a critical global health issue, with the World Health Organization estimating that up to 10% of medicines worldwide are counterfeit, higher in some regions. The app will instantly verify medication authenticity, revolutionising healthcare for consumers.

Youth Options help people aged 14 to 30 to build their capacity to set and achieve their goals for a thriving future. Contested HERitage is a global, non-profit initiative of Torrens University Australia to address the historical imbalance by reimagining tourism spaces to be inclusive, and to reflect contemporary societies and cultures.
