What is Onboarding?
The Future Student Onboarding Team will support you with getting started and ensure you feel confident to begin your first trimester of study at Torrens University.
We will help set you up on all university platforms, as well as introduce you to new student resources, the student community and guidance planning your timetable.
Activate your student email
We assist you to activate your Microsoft Office 365 student email, multi factor security and access your email inbox.
University platforms
We guide you to access and navigate essential University Platforms including Student Hub, MyHub and Student Portal.
Timetable
We advise you on study loads, attendance requirements and subject selection via the course structures.
MyLearn
We introduce you to the online learning platform to access all course and subject content and set you up with Microsoft Teams to attend online classes.
Support resources
We help you connect to resources such as on-campus student support, Success Coaches, IT support, counselling, workshops and more.
Student community
We connect you with your new student community including SRC, sports teams and study groups both online and on-campus.

How we connect with you
We provide a support system using the platforms that suit you best. We begin with an onboarding phone call initiated by us.
From there you have the option for personalised 1:1 Onboarding or group sessions through a platform of choice - phone, Microsoft Teams or in person.

We are available to assist with Onboarding as soon as your enrolment is finalised.
Our dedicated team is here to support you right at the beginning of this exciting study journey and help you settle into university life.
We aim to equip you with the knowledge and resources to learn how to be successful. We will also be your main support in the first few weeks of commencing your course!

How can I get help with onboarding?As soon as your enrolment is finalised the Onboarding team will be your main contact and will begin by contacting you via phone call. You then have the option for personalised 1:1 Onboarding or group sessions through a platform of choice - phone, Microsoft Teams or in person.

How do I choose my timetable?Once your enrolment is finalised you will have access to the Student Portal to select subjects. We can guide you on which subjects to choose based on your selected study mode, attendance requirements and study path. You can also find a list of the subjects you need to complete your course by accessing your course guide.

How do I login to University Platforms?You will log in to all University platforms with your student email address and password (which we will help you activate once your enrolment is finalised).

What other resources can you connect me to?We can put you in touch with Student Support, Success Coaches, IT Support, Counselling, Library and Learning Support and all other resources you may need as a new student.
