Science for Success is a one-day program held during Orientation Week for Health Science and Nursing students. It is for new students who need to build foundational knowledge or want a preview of the science subjects.
About Science for Success
This short bridging course is designed to introduce you to key learning expectations and foundational study skills. It will cover essential topics in mathematics, chemistry, biology and physiology - equipping you with the confidence and knowledge to begin your studies successfully.
This program covers four key modules and introduces students to essential topics in academic skills, mathematics, chemistry, and biology:
- Academic skills and growth mindset
- The role of science and maths in Health: From cells to body systems
- Key concepts in chemistry
- Maintaining life and essential life functions
This program is available to students enrolled in the following courses:
- Diploma of Health Science
- Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Nutrition)
- Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy)
- Bachelor of Health Science (Western Herbal Medicine)
- Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Myotherapy)
