Associate Dean of Hospitality
Teaching for 15 years, Simon is an academic leader and researcher with two decades’ of experience. His areas of interest include business, marketing, strategic management, social/environmental justice and sustainable tourism. Simon has been an active researcher and social advocate in Cambodia since 2002 and is currently the Associate Dean of Hospitality, Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School and Torrens University Australia.
Marketing Manager, Four Seasons Hotel Sydney
Laura’s hospitality journey kicked off when she undertook industry placements at Marriott Resort and Spa in Surfers Paradise and Melbourne’s Sheraton. From food and beverage to guest services, Laura’s extensive knowledge of the hotel industry secured her a role at Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, where she is now a marketing manager.
Director of Distribution Systems, ACCOR
With a career spanning three decades, Ben’s passion for hospitality has seen him progress from entry-level positions to management roles, in areas including catering, event management, operations and more. The BMIHMS alumnus now oversees more than 400 hotels across the Pacific as Director of Distribution Systems for Accor.
Australian former professional rugby league footballer
Greg is an NRL legend, captaining the Penrith Panthers to their first championship in 1991. Since retiring, he has forged a successful career as a broadcaster and presenter.
As a proud partner of the Panthers, Torrens University is delighted to welcome Greg to Open Day to share his knowledge with the next generation of people leaders and managers.
Program Director, Counselling & Community Services
Lisa is a qualified teacher and psychologist. She has taught in high schools and at university level in the areas of psychology, counselling and community services. Working in public and private hospitals as a case manager and a psychologist Lisa facilitated group therapy and supported those with acute mental health conditions.
SBS Sports Presenter
Lucy Zelić is the host of SBS's soccer coverage, including the World Cup and Champions League broadcasts. After graduating with a Bachelor of Journalism & Sports Business, Lucy joined SBS in 2013.
