With a PhD from Flinders University and an MSc from the London School of Economics, Steven is now an adjunct associate professor at Torrens University and a research scholar at the Global Institute for Sustainable Prosperity. During the 1990s, Steven was involved in financial training for staff from all the major UK banks, many international banks and the Bank of England. He developed an awareness of the flaws in orthodox neoclassical economics, leading to a study of post-Keynesian economics with a focus on modern monetary theory. He has published several books on economics.

John is one of the world’s leading post-Keynesian economists and an expert in international finance. Since 1987, he has been a professor of Economics at Texas Christian University, specialising in international economics, macroeconomics, the history of economics and contemporary schools of thought. His research comprises more than 40 refereed publications, two edited volumes and two books, and he hosts the popular Cowboy Economist YouTube channel.

Scott is an associate professor at the University of Missouri – Kansas City and a research scholar at the Global Institute for Sustainable Prosperity. As one of the world’s foremost modern monetary theory economists and an expert in central banking operations, he is widely published and has written or co-authored some of the most important papers written on the topic. His research interests include financial markets, monetary operations, macroeconomic policy and the sustainability of alternative macroeconomic policy regimes.

Philip is an adjunct professor at Torrens University and a research associate at Modern Money Lab. Philip developed the Genuine Progress Indicator (GPI) as an alternative global indicator of social wellbeing to Gross Domestic Product. His work and teaching focus on sustainable development, ecological economics and GPI studies. Philip is also a research scholar at the Global Institute for Sustainable Prosperity, and a member of the Wakefield Futures Group of Concerned Scientists.

Colleen is a PhD student and research assistant in the Institute for Ecological Economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Her research focuses on the political economy of monetary, fiscal policy in a social-ecological transformation, and the intersection of money, society and environment. Colleen co-authored a chapter focusing on money and finance in the book Strategies for Degrowth, and has also worked and published in the field of environmental justice.

Anthelia (Annie) Bond is Research Director (Ecological Economics) at Modern Money Lab and an Adjunct Lecturer at Torrens University. Annie has a PhD in ecological economics and her cross disciplinary publication record includes articles in the Journal of Applied Ecology, Land Use Policy and Environmental Management. Annie’s wide experience in research and environmental policy includes roles at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), The University of Adelaide, government agencies and non-government organisations. Annie is a board member of the Nature Conservation Society of South Australia and member of Scientist Rebellion.

Dirk is widely regarded as the leading modern monetary theory economist in Europe. He is an expert in monetary operations within the Eurozone and has advised the financial experts committees of the German and Irish national parliaments. Dirk is an adjunct lecturer of Economics at Steinbeis School of Management and Innovation, and teaches at Maastricht Summer School. He regularly and widely publishes columns, articles and books on modern monetary theory, macroeconomics, the history of economic thought and the European economy.

Erik is a leading post-Keynesian microeconomist and an economics instructor at Portland Community College. He received his PhD from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Erik’s research focuses on the institutional evolution of the business enterprise, financialisation, and the proliferation of “bullshit jobs”. He is also a research scholar with the Global Institute for Sustainable Prosperity and treasurer of the Association for Institutional Thought.

An experienced administrator, climate activist and organiser, Gabrielle is a member of Extinction Rebellion and a co-founder of the Sustainable Prosperity Action Group.
