Completing a postgraduate degree will help you build on the knowledge and skills gained during your undergraduate studies. It can support you in future-proofing your career, increasing your employability and earning potential, and enhancing your industry skills.
The benefits of going from a bachelor’s to master’s
After completing a bachelor’s degree, you are already in the habit of studying, learning and researching; with your life often tailored around your study habits. By moving straight into a master’s program, you can keep the momentum of learning going and further accelerate your career progression.
By pursuing postgraduate education after your undergraduate degree, you can complete your education in a shorter timeframe, avoiding the need to return to school later in life and continue to build on your foundational knowledge.
There is more flexibility. As you progress in your career, universities understand the need for enhanced flexibility. Many courses are offered online or blended, so you don’t need to go to campus to attend class. Instead, you can study on the way to work or during your lunch break. With an On Demand degree, there are no scheduled classes. You can learn at a pace that suits you, at a time that suits you.
The process is easy! As your university already has your academic and English history, they often only require minimal additional information to get you enrolled.
Do you need a bachelor's to get a master's?
Not all postgraduate courses require you to have a bachelor’s degree to enrol. Some degrees take into consideration your professional work experience, or you can enrol into a graduate certificate as a stepping stone to complete a master’s degree. It is important to review the admission criteria of the course you’re interested in studying and get in contact with your Future Student Advisor.
