  • Chinatown Night Markets: Less than a 10-minute walk from campus, discover the Chinatown Night Markets after studying on a Friday, featuring work and food by local designers.
  • Prince Alfred Park: Take a break in the sun and go for a swim in the pool or get a group of mates together to play a game of basketball. Prince Alfred Park offers plenty of green spaces and recreational facilities.

  • Hosier Lane: Less than a minute's walk from campus, wander down this bluestone laneway and be immersed in colour and art created by local and international street artists.
  • Yarra River: Only 5 minutes away, you can visit the heart of Melbourne. Go for lunch on the river or rent a boat for an hour and travel up and down to experience the very best of Melbourne.
  • ACMI: Just across the road from campus, visit ACMI and be immersed in the universe of film, TV, videogames and art. The exhibitions are continuously changing so you can experience something new each month.

What to do near Adelaide campuses

With an affordable cost of living, jump into the relaxed lifestyle and vibrant cultural scene. Here’s our student’s recommendation!

  • Central Market: Less than a 5-minute walk from campus, take a break for lunch and discover over 80 vendors selling a variety of food and produce. The Adelaide Central Market remains Adelaide’s premier food destination for multicultural cuisine and fresh produce.
  • Rundle Mall: Filled with global brands and local favourites, walk to the heart of shopping in Adelaide. Rundle Mall is home to over 700 retailers and 300 services – there is something for everyone to discover!
  • Mini-golf and Escape Rooms: Get a group of friends together and visit Holey Moley Golf Club or Mindshift Escape rooms for an afternoon filled with fun. Choose to play indoor miniature golf club at Holey Moley which offers drinks, karaoke and arcade games or try to escape the adventure filled rooms at Mindshift Escape Rooms.

  • Story Bridge: Less than 5 minutes from campus, visit the heritage-listed bridge spanning the Brisbane River providing a 360-degree panoramic view of the city. Take a walk along the bridge or dare the Adventure Climb taking you up to the top.
  • Fine Art: Just up the road from campus you can delve into the world of art with the Institute of Modern Art or Jan Murphy Gallery displayed artwork from across the world. You can also discover a show at the Judith Wright Arts Centre or watch a concert at the Music Hall.
  • River Dining: Walk on down to the Brisbane River at lunch and take a stroll on the boardwalk where you have a selection of fine dining, cafes and restaurants to taste the very best of what Australia has to offer.
