Media Release | 19 September 2025

Torrens University Australia is proud to announce a partnership with Codex Consulting, a B Corp Certified technology firm that harnesses data, AI, and cloud technologies to create solutions that align business goals with social impact.

This collaboration opens new doors for Torrens University students, granting access to Codex’s internship and graduate programs where they'll work on real-world projects and collaborate with experts in consulting and analytics.

The partnership also fosters professional development within Codex, with employees gaining access to Torrens University’s postgraduate and short courses, which supports upskilling, leadership growth, and the exploration of emerging technologies.

Commitment to ethical business and environmental impact

Codex Co-Founder Toby Vann highlighted the natural synergy:

“At Codex, we’re always looking for people who bring curiosity, creativity, and purpose to their work, qualities we consistently see in Torrens University graduates. Through this partnership, we can tap into that talent, and just as importantly, help us nurture a culture of learning within our own team.”

United by their status as Certified B Corporations, Torrens University and Codex share a deep commitment to ethical business, transparency, and social and environmental impact, adding purpose and alignment to the student experience.

One standout initiative sees Torrens University’s Social Enterprise Hub, Codex, and B Lab AANZ co-developing an AI-driven tool to help B Corps transition to new global standards. An innovation poised to benefit businesses and communities worldwide.

Associate Professor Hayden McDonald praised the partnership’s tangible impact:

“More than a dozen of our students have worked with staff from Codex and BLAB AANZ over the past six months to lay the foundation for an AI model that will support B Corp organisations in meeting their ongoing compliance requirements.

The model will identify targeted training and resources to help organisations complete the B Corp certification process and optimise their efforts to positively impact people and the planet. It is a privilege to have our students work with a world-class analytics and AI company and a global movement seeking to be a force for good.”

Looking ahead, the partnership will launch a suite of co-branded initiatives from guest lectures and workshops to collaborative projects - creating a vibrant exchange between academic insight and industry innovation.
