Reimagining the Teachers’ role in GenAI Era: A collaborative model for future education.
Hosted By Professor Tony Jan, Director AIRO.
Seminar overview
In the era of Generative AI, the role of educators is evolving, not diminishing.
In this session, Dr. Tayab Memon presents a practical, Bloom’s taxonomy-based framework that highlights how teachers and GenAI can collaborate across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Drawing on insights from his recent TechTrends (Q1 Journal) publication, the session explores real-world examples, opportunities, and risks in integrating AI into education.
Attendees will reflect on how educators can retain their core human value - empathy, creativity, and critical thinking - while leveraging AI to enrich learning. This is a call to reimagine education by enhancing, not replacing, the role of teachers.
