9 songs to celebrate International Students’ Day

Torrens University Australia celebrates International Students’ Day with a collection of songs selected by students who have joined us from all over the world.

International Students’ Day is celebrated all around the world on November 17, showing appreciation for students who help make our educational community so diverse and vibrant.

At Torrens University we know how important it is to recognise the achievements of all our international students who have faced various challenges throughout the year, from border and visa restrictions to reduced work hours, and being away from friends and family.

It is said that ‘a song tells a story’ and this year Torrens University plans to celebrate International Students’ Day through music. We’ve asked 9 international students to nominate a song of their choice that represents their overseas student experience. Here are their inspiring and heartfelt choices:
