Professor Scott Thompson-Whiteside | Staff

Professor Scott Thompson-Whiteside
Executive Dean, Design and Creative Technology

Professor Scott Thompson-Whiteside is the Executive Dean, Design and Creative Technology and provides overall academic leadership to staff and students in the vertical. Scott has over 20 years of academic leadership in design across Europe, Asia and Australia with experience leading a number of programs, schools and faculties. Originally from the United Kingdom and trained as Industrial Designer, Scott soon moved into design management gaining a Masters degree in design leadership. He acquired his Phd from the Centre for Studies in Higher Education at the University of Melbourne. Scott is a strong advocate of internationalization, industry engaged teaching, high quality student outcomes and interdisciplinary research. Scott’s own research interests intersect the disciplines of design education, higher education policy, design strategy and innovation.

Robyn Latimer | Associate Dean Design and Creative Technology | Staff

Robyn Latimer
OAM Associate Dean of Design and Creative Technology

Practising design in multiple sectors for 25 years, Robyn has owned a studio, directed a company, managed and designed countless community projects and for the past 15 years has maintained a governance role at Tourette Syndrome Association of Australia. She advocates for equity of access to lifelong learning through online education, and attaches importance to global perspectives and transferable knowledge. She received a 2010 NSW Volunteer of the Year Award and Order of Australia Medal in 2018.
