Emerging Fashion Designer Scholarship
Together with Fashion Queensland, Billy Blue College of Design at Torrens University is excited to offer a scholarship dedicated to supporting emerging fashion talent in Queensland.
Scholarship details
Fashion Queensland is a champion of networking, support and industry development with the Queensland's fashion community. As part of their flagship event, Brisbane Fashion Month, Fashion Queensland is offering one aspiring designer the opportunity to receive a 50% scholarship to study fashion with us.
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must be a Queensland resident and looking to study fashion with us in Brisbane in 2027.
How to apply
Applying is simple. Create and submit a moodboard or video that showcases:
- the design style you would like to develop
- the fashion enterprise or brand you aspire to build, or
- the role you hope to play in the fashion industry
We'll also ask you to submit a short summary statement (or explain in your video submission) outlining your vision - we want to hear where you want to take your career in fashion.

How do I submit my entry?Simply click Apply now at the top of this page. This will take you to the Application Form. We recommend you create a moodboard and save this as a PDF file or JPG. You should then create a Google Drive folder, upload your file, and share the link on the Application Form. Make sure you make the Google Drive folder a Shared folder so that we can access.

What are your top tips for including in the mood board?The joy of a mood board is that it can be anything you wish it to be. If you want to become a fashion designer, we suggest including images that reflect the style of designer you wish to become. If you want to work in the industry, we suggest you look at words or careers or images of the area of fashion which are important to you. If you wish to create your own fashion enterprise, we suggest you combine both images and phrases which describe your vision for your enterprise, your customers and your services.
