Scholarship details

The Love what you do Scholarship recognises and supports students who demonstrate academic drive, community involvement and a genuine passion for their chosen field. This scholarship rewards individuals who have shown exceptional dedication to their education and community while fostering a creative and innovative approach to their future careers.

Eligibility criteria

  • Recipients must be new Torrens University Australia students.
  • Only open to Australian citizens and permanent residents, New Zealand citizens and Humanitarian Visa holders.
  • Must meet associated course application criteria.

How to apply

  1. Please fill out the form below with your contact details. 
  2. You will receive the confirmation email after the form submission. If you have not received it, please check your spam folder or contact us for further assistance.
  3. After receiving a confirmation email, you will receive a call from our Future Student Advisor within the next business day. During this call, they will verify your application status:
    • If you haven't applied for the course yet, you will be guided on how to complete the course application process.
    • If you have already applied for the course, after the call you will receive an email with the link to the scholarship application form.
  4. Please fill out the scholarship application form. It will have 3 questions:
    • How will you use the qualification for good? 100 - 200 words
    • How do you see the industry developing over the next 10 years? 100 - 200 words
    • How will this scholarship support you in your field of study? 100 - 200 words
  5. After submitting the scholarship application form, you will receive a confirmation email acknowledging the receipt of your application. If you don't receive this email within 24 hours, please check your spam folder or contact us for further assistance.
  6. The Future Student Advisor will review your scholarship application, and you can expect to receive the results within 3 business days. You will be notified via email, so please ensure your email address is correct.

Terms and conditions

To be eligible for the 20% scholarship, students must be enrolled in a full Bachelor degree program at Torrens University Australia. Students who have been granted advanced standing or block credit equivalent to one-third or more of the total course duration are not eligible for this scholarship.

To be eligible for the 15% scholarship, students must be enrolled in a full programs related this this scholarship at Torrens University Australia. Students who have been granted advanced standing or credits to one-third or more of the total course duration are not eligible for this scholarship.

Applicants must meet the entry requirements of the course. Terms and conditions apply. See the application form for full details.   • What are the selection criteria?
    Depending on the scholarship, selection criteria may include academic merits, transcripts, portfolio submissions, written submissions and Torrens University internal applications.
  • When is the deadline to apply for a scholarship?
    You can apply for a Torrens University scholarship any time up to an intake date, to allow sufficient time to review and process the application.
  • What happens to my scholarship if I defer my studies before I commence my course?

    If you defer your studies before starting your course, you will forfeit your scholarship. Scholarships are only valid and carried over to a future intake.

    Domestic scholarships at Torrens University Australia are available exclusively to new students. To secure and retain the scholarship, recipients must commence their studies in their nominated intake. Students who defer their commencement will forfeit the scholarship.

  • Can I apply for multiple scholarships at the same time?
    Yes, you can apply for multiple scholarships at the same time. However, if you are successful with more than one, you are only allowed to choose one scholarship for your enrolment.
  • Who is eligible to apply for a domestic student scholarship?
    To apply for a domestic scholarship, you need to be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or New Zealand citizen, or hold a humanitarian visa.
