Scholarship details

If you have an eligible immediate family member* who is a current student, future student or recent graduate of Torrens University Australia, you may be eligible for the Family Scholarship, providing a 35% reduction in tuition fees for the full duration of your course.

Eligibility criteria

To be considered, you must be an international student who is an immediate family member* of a primary applicant who is:

• a current student; or
• a future student applying together with you, with both commencing at the same time; or
• a recent graduate who completed their course within six months before your commencement date

*Eligible immediate family members include: spouse, de facto partner, parent, child or sibling. You’ll need to provide appropriate documentation to verify your relationship with the primary applicant.

How to apply

1. Complete the Scholarship Application Form .
2. Provide proof of your relationship with the primary applicant, such as a marriage certificate to verify a spousal relationship, birth certificates to verify a parent-child or sibling relationship, or a statutory declaration from the applicant and, where relevant, the family member, confirming the relationship. Other supporting documents may be required where applicable.
3. Ensure all documents are in English or accompanied by a certified translation. Certified copies may be required where original documents cannot be sighted.

Torrens University will verify the primary applicant's status as a current student, future student or recent graduate against our records.

Once approved, the 35% scholarship will be applied to your offer for the duration of your eligible course or packaged courses.

Terms and conditions

The Family Scholarship provides a 35% reduction in tuition fees for the full duration of the eligible course(s). The scholarship applies to tuition fees only.

Relationship documents, such as marriage certificates, birth certificates or statutory declarations, must be provided in English or accompanied by a certified translation. Scholarship eligibility is subject to verification of the relationship and the primary applicant's enrolment or graduation status, as well as approval by Torrens University Australia.

Other conditions

New undergraduate and postgraduate international students must maintain a full-time study load, 1 EFTSL over a 12-month study period, to maintain their scholarship. Scholarship applicable on tuition fee only and on first attempt subjects only. Full price charged on retake subjects if previously failed. Scholarship may not be eligible for any course changes during the duration of study.
