What does a Sport Development Officer do?

• Create fun, accessible sporting activities, programs and projects
• Collaborate with other organisations to design sporting initiatives for groups, including youth services, schools, clubs and disability homes
• Secure funding and sponsorship opportunities necessary to fund specific initiatives
• Monitor and assess participation and effectiveness of sport programs

Competition Manager

Organise and oversee the structure of sporting leagues and events.

Competition Managers determine the framework of sporting leagues by directing weekly matches as well as special galas. With attention to detail and the ability to manage different personalities, you will find work structuring competitions in major organisations like the AFL, or on a smaller scale with localised sporting groups such as schools or bowls clubs.
