What is an Interior Design course?

Interior Design courses cover everything that goes into developing and improving the interior of a building. Whether it be residential or commercially focused, you’ll master things like lighting, colour, furnishings and functionality. 

Architectural Technology courses focus on new and emerging digital technologies and give you expertise in computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modelling (BIM). You'll learn to create inspiring and sustainable environments that meet 21st century demands.

Scott Skipworth
Program Director, Built Environment
Scott continuously strives for our built environment suite of courses to pulsate with industry relevance and to generate the future of professional practice.
Scott’s academic leadership is informed by his master’s degree from Chicago’s Illinois Institute of Technology and professional experience with influential New York City and Sydney studios, including Gwathmey Siegel, Ike Kligerman Barkley and fjmt Studio. He is completing his PhD with Torrens University Australia. Through textual research into the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze, Scott’s PhD thesis conceptualises the built environment’s Internet of Things (IoT) as newly disseminating human embodiment with empowering, but also some alarming, potentialities.

Melissa is an interior architect, designer, decorator, stylist, researcher and educator, with 15 years’ experience across these fields.

She is a director with Maxwell + Shirley, working primarily in residential architecture and interior design, and is also a senior academic in Interior Design and Decoration at Torrens University Australia.
