What is a Diploma of Health and Wellbeing?

The Diploma of Health and Wellbeing provides a strong foundation of knowledge in physical, mental and the social wellbeing elements of health. You will develop an understanding of how to positively impact all elements of your health and that of others while gaining awareness of how social determinants influence health and recognise health inequities across many population groups.

- Learn the core principles of health and wellbeing.
- Discover solutions in human nutrition, health and fitness.
- Research health theories and social determinants to understand maintenance of health and disease prevention.
- Develop effective health promotion strategies designed to increase community wellbeing.
This is an AQF Level 5 course delivered by Torrens University Australia Ltd.

Delivered online, the Diploma of Health and Wellbeing comprises of 5 core subjects and 3 electives, each subject requiring 10 hours of study per week; three hours facilitated and seven self-directed. Assessments may include activity-based assignments or online quizzes. There are no formal exams.

Before you begin your application to study as a domestic student, check that you meet the requirements listed below.
Australian secondary school certificate, or equivalent
OR
Successful completion of a Vocational qualification (AQF Level 4), or above
OR Successful completion of at least 0.5 EFTSL at AQF level 5, 0.25 EFTSL at AQF level 6 or above, or equivalent
Successful completion of Year 10 or equivalent, and a minimum two years of full time relevant work experience that demonstrates skills and knowledge gained through paid or unpaid employment, formal learning and/or non-formal learning (presented on a current resume with attached cover letter).
Guaranteed pathway and Recognition of Prior Learning
If you have already completed a qualification or gained skills through life or work experience, you may be able to credit this against your degree with us.
