Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Not seeing your prior study or experience listed?
You may still be eligible for credit through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
What is RPL?
RPL is a form of credit that results from an assessment of your prior learning, including informal and non-formal experience, against the learning outcomes of your course or subjects. Additional formal learning may also be considered as part of this assessment.
What can be assessed
- Prior study (formal or informal)
- Work experience
- Industry training or certifications not yet mapped in the calculator
How it works
If you don’t find a credit match in the calculator, you can apply for RPL once you’ve applied to study with Torrens University. All applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
For further information about RPL and credit, refer to our Credit Policy.
