The Billy Blue difference: Mentorship and dedication
It takes a community of mentors to support student success and Billy Blue educators are renowned for their expertise and passion in bringing out the best in students and propelling them forward in their Design careers.
Sarah Fell, who picked up a Silver award, shared a similar sentiment, “I was chuffed to win a silver at the 2025 Indigo awards. We’re so fortunate to have amazing lecturers mentoring us with Torrens supporting our entries, following our journeys, and celebrating our achievements.”
“We are incredibly proud of our students' achievements! These awards highlight Billy Blue’s unique position where we continue to set a high standard for innovation and excellence. Our dedicated educators play a crucial role in mentoring and guiding students to produce industry-leading work—reinforcing our position as a leader in the creative industry,” said Leandi Newth, Course Coordinator for Graphic and Communication Design.

Hannah Schmith, Senior Learning Facilitator for Graphic and Communication Design, emphasised the significance of these wins for students' careers:
“This recognition is a testament to the talent, dedication, and creativity of our students! Having their work celebrated at this level is an incredible achievement that will open doors for their future careers. I’m so proud of their hard work and can’t wait to see where this success takes them next,” said Hannah.
Hannah played a pivotal role in guiding students through their submissions, ensuring that their creative vision aligned with international standards. Her commitment exemplifies the mentorship culture at Billy Blue, where students receive hands-on guidance from industry professionals and experts.

Elicia Simon, Program Director for Graphic and Communication Design, highlighted the significance of this achievement:
