What is a Graduate Diploma of Business Information Systems?

The Graduate Diploma of Business Information Systems builds your knowledge of using business analysis technology. Explore data management, systems analysis, cloud-based micro-services, ethical decision-making and strategic planning. Our Graduate Diploma course is part of the Australian Computer Society (ACS)-accredited Master of Business Information Systems program, providing a seamless pathway into the master's degree.

This graduate diploma is designed to meet the changing business environments in which you aspire to work and manage. This course provides a solid standalone qualification to prepare you for a career in the field as well as a pathway into the Master of Business Information Systems. To qualify for the Graduate Diploma of Business Information Systems, you will complete eight core subjects.

Subjects and units

Delivered both on campus and online, the Graduate Diploma of Business Information Systems comprises of 8 core subjects, each subject requiring 10 hours of study per week; three hours facilitated and seven self-directed. Assessments may include activity-based assignments or online quizzes. There are no formal exams.

Admission criteria

Before you begin your application to study as a domestic student, check that you meet one of the requirements listed below.

A completed qualification at AQF level 7 (Bachelor degree) or above in a specified or related field from an Australian higher education provider or overseas equivalent.

OR

A period of relevant professional experience in addition to a completed AQF 7 or above qualification in any field,

OR

A combination of relevant non-formal learning and professional experience,

Extensive high-level relevant professional experience.

Fee payment

Course fees can be paid across three study periods. Each instalment to be paid before the beginning of the academic stage census date.

Australian bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Academic IELTS 6.5 (no band less than 6.0) or equivalent.
