Accredited Nursing School in Australia
Our nursing courses pair evidence-based theory with clinical experience in real health settings. Finish the Bachelor of Nursing with Torrens University and you'll be eligible to apply for registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA. Finish the HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing with Think Education and you're eligible to apply for registration as an Enrolled Nurse. Both qualifications are within our Health and Education faculty, and both are built on person-centred care.
Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC)
The Bachelor of Nursing (Torrens University) and the HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing (Think Education) are both accredited by ANMAC, so each one meets the education standards set by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
Australian College of Nursing (ACN)
Torrens University and Think Education are members of the ACN, the peak professional body and leading organisation of the nursing profession.
Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA)
Torrens University and Think Education are both members of APNA, the peak body for nurses working in primary health care.

Why study Nursing with us?
Nursing is learnt by doing, so we build practice in early. You'll train in our on-campus simulation labs before you meet a patient, then head out on clinical placement at organisations like Healthscope and Opal HealthCare. Class sizes stay small, which gives you time with academics who know the profession. We offer the option to study the theory part of your degree.
Nursing courses at Torrens University
Three courses, three ways into nursing. Start with the Undergraduate Certificate in Nursing Study Foundations, our online pathway course for students who aren’t yet eligible for direct entry into the Bachelor of Nursing. The Bachelor of Nursing with Torrens University runs three years full time, is taught on campus or in blended study mode, and prepares you to apply for registration as a Registered Nurse.
The HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing with Think Education is studied on campus or in blended mode, and prepares you to apply for registration as an Enrolled Nurse. Both the Diploma and Bachelor’s include lab training and clinical placement. If you start with the Diploma, the Enrolled Nurse pathway can take you into the second year of the Bachelor later on.

Nursing clinical placements
Clinical placement is a core part of our nursing courses. Bachelor of Nursing students complete 800 hours, the minimum amount of hours required by ANMAC to apply to become a Registered Nurse. HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing students complete 400 hours, the minimum to become an Enrolled Nurse.
Your placement hours are spent in settings such as public and private hospitals, GP clinics and aged care facilities. We coordinate placements nationally, so you build experience across several areas of care over the length of your course.
