What is Health Science?

Health Science is a broad area of study that offers essential knowledge about how people and communities stay well. It combines biology, nutrition, public health, psychology, data, policy and more, to help prevent illness, improve health services and support healthier communities. You’ll develop an understanding of the multidisciplinary professions across the health industry and how they work together.

The Diploma of Health Science includes four core subjects in biological foundations, human structure and physiology, and evidence-based practice, with three elective and one specialisation subject to tailor your diploma to your goals. It’s offered online so you can follow your passion in a way that fits your lifestyle.

The Bachelor of Health Science in your chosen health science major builds on those focus areas so you graduate ready for a career in naturopathy, western herbal medicine, Chinese medicine, clinical nutrition, dermal therapies or clinical myotherapy. This degree offers hands-on experience to prepare you for your career, including supervised work at the student-led Practice Wellbeing Centre.
