We are delighted to invite our Bachelor of Health Sciences (Aesthetics) and Diploma of Beauty and Spa Practice students to join us at Torrens University Beauty & Aesthetics Industry Connect Mini Expo, at our Fortitude Valley campus, located on Bowen Terrace in Brisbane, on 15 March.
At this exciting on-campus event, you will meet our industry partners within the Beauty and Aesthetics sector, and gain valuable insights into current practices and products. For our interstate students, we’ll be live-streaming the keynote talks by our guest speakers.
Bringing Beauty professionals, Aesthetics practitioners and students together
The Beauty Expo will give you the opportunity to connect with suppliers, practitioners and professional associations. You will receive the most up-to-date information about new and emerging technology and devices. And leaders in the Beauty and Aesthetics industry will offer their views on what the future of the Beauty and Aesthetics sector will look like.
In addition, clinic owners and employers will share valuable advice on how to succeed whilst transitioning from being a student to your chosen Beauty and Aesthetic career. Some industry partners will even promote employment and work-placement opportunities for current and graduating students.
What attendees can do at the Beauty Expo 2023?
This is a great opportunity to network and potentially gain employment. There will be lots of goodie bags, door prizes and giveaways, in addition to all the information you will receive about your industry.
At the trade and supplier expo, you can meet and chat directly with representatives from the industry partners who we have invited. Then, we will have our panel of guest speakers, followed by some time for socialising and networking.

Our guest speakers at the Beauty Expo 2023
Dr Davin Lim
One of Brisbane's most highly regarded dermatologists, Dr Davin Lim, will be taking part in our guest-speaker panel. Dr Lim's outstanding results come from his years of experience as well as his dedication to patient relationships and commitment to ongoing specialist training. Staying abreast of the latest products and skin technologies allows Dr Lim to restore and rejuvenate his patients.
Joining Dr Lim on the panel will be Katy Bacon, the Sales and Education Manager for Murad Asia Pacific. For over 20 years Katy has been dedicated to the Beauty, Health and Wellness industry. A dermal aesthetician, clinical nutritionist and cosmetic chemist, she is an advocate for wellness and a scientific approach to treating skin health. Katy is one of Murad Skincare's global educators, working with Dr Murad and his team of skincare professionals from various areas of expertise to help people achieve healthy and beautiful skin.
Also speaking is Charlotte Ralph, Torrens University Australia Aesthetics alumna. Charlotte is the Practice Manager and Skin and Laser Specialist at Contour Clinics’ newest clinic in Stones Corner, Brisbane. She has been working in the industry since 2018, after graduating with High Distinction from Torrens University with a Bachelor of Health Science (Aesthetics) degree. Taking a special interest in inflammatory skin conditions such as acne and rosacea, Charlotte uses a multi-modality approach, including RF skin needling, IPL and laser paired with chemical peels, advanced skincare regimens and at the heart of it, ongoing education and staying abreast of current treatments and practices.
This session with Dr Lim, Katy Bacon and Charlotte Ralph will definitely be the highlight of the day. It’s so important that we will live stream it for interstate students who are unable to attend in person.
