Billy Blue design talent recognised in Women in Design 2026

Torrens University Australia is proud to celebrate our Billy Blue Communication and Graphic Design students, Ruby Gosbell and Ana Morato, for their wins in the Women in Design 2026 awards, a new initiative from the Indigo Design Award dedicated exclusively to female digital designers worldwide. It celebrates outstanding creative work across UX/UI, branding, graphic design and illustration judged entirely by an international, all-female jury — spotlighting talent at every stage, from emerging voices just starting to make their mark to established leaders shaping the industry.

We're incredibly proud of Ruby and Ana. Their recognition on a global stage is a powerful reflection of the creativity, ambition and skill our design students bring every day — and exactly what we hope for when that talent is nurtured and given room to grow.

These honours are a testament not only to Ruby and Ana's individual creativity and craft, but to the broader culture of ambition, mentorship and industry-connected learning that defines design education at Torrens University. Ruby graduated Billy Blue's Bachelor of Communication Design degree, with Ana a graduate of the Diploma of Graphic Design.

Ruby Gosbell took out the win in the Emerging category, a standout achievement that reflects the calibre of design thinking being nurtured at Torrens University.

Ana Morato was also recognised as a Featured Emerging Designer, further cementing Torrens University's growing reputation as a launchpad for the next generation of design talent.

It is so rewarding to see Ruby and Ana recognised through the 2026 Indigo Women in Design Awards. Both are talented and hardworking designers who have brought creativity and commitment to their work throughout their studies. What makes this recognition particularly special is that they are already taking those skills into industry and building their professional careers. This is also a testament to the support and mentoring offered by our teaching staff to help Ruby and Ana hone their craft as emerging designers.
