This course is designed to equip you with the broad knowledge and skills required build a career in the sports management field. Throughout your studies, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of fundamental business, marketing and management principles, explore the role sport plays in building communities and analyse the importance of professional sport in contemporary society.

This course comprises 24 subjects, 18 core subjects and 6 elective subjects. As part of the core subjects, you will gain 300 hours of real-world industry experience.

Each subject involves 10 hours of study per week, comprising 3 hours of facilitated study and 7 hours self-directed study.

An important element of this course is your placement with an endorsed host organisation(s). Work placements provide a valuable resource for you to develop hands-on practical experience to ensure you graduate confident and job-ready. A key task will be the completion of a reflective journal covering the experience and the identification and analysis of key learning outcomes.
