What is a Diploma of Business (Entrepreneurship)?

A Diploma of Business (Entrepreneurship) teaches you the entrepreneurial knowledge and skills needed to develop and launch innovative business concepts. You’ll learn in simulated entrepreneurial environments and receive valuable guidance from industry mentors for a hands-on learning experience.
The program integrates theoretical frameworks with practical applications, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of business development and management. You will graduate equipped with intellectual curiosity and independent thinking skills alongside technical skills and knowledge. This course comprises seven core subjects and one elective, and serves as a standalone qualification as well as a pathway to the Bachelor of Business suite.

Subjects and units

This course comprises 8 subjects, 7 core subjects and 1 elective subject. As part of the core subjects, you will gain 50 hours of real-world industry experience.

Each subject involves 10 hours of study per week, comprising 3 hours of facilitated study and 7 hours self-directed study.

Admission criteria

Before you begin your application to study as a domestic student, check that you meet at least one of the requirements listed below.

Australian secondary school certificate, or equivalent;

OR

Successful completion of a Vocational qualification (AQF Level 4), or above;

OR

Successful completion of at least 0.25 EFTSL at AQF level 6, 0.5 EFTSL at AQF level 5 or above, or equivalent;

OR

Work-life experience demonstrating the ability to undertake study at the required level which may include approval of prior study or successful completion of a readiness assessment.

Fees

Check the international course fee schedule for the cost of your course. This course is only offered online. International students requiring a student visa to study in Australia should choose another course that offers campus-based/blended options.

Fee payment

Course fees can be paid across three study periods. Each instalment to be paid before the beginning of the academic stage census date.

Admission criteria

Before you begin your application to study as an international offshore student, check that you meet the requirements listed below.

Successful completion of at least 0.25 EFTSL at AQF level 6, 0.5 EFTSL at AQF level 5 or above, or equivalent;

OR

Australian secondary school certificate, or equivalent Senior Secondary qualification, or baccalaureate Diploma;

AND

Academic IELTS 5.5 (no band less than 5.0) or equivalent.
